Sometimes, we just need a little push in the right direction. Life can often be tiresome and predictable at times, but that doesn’t mean it should be like that forever! When you’re stuck in a rut or just feel trapped by the demands life places on you, then it could be time to do something new and exhilarating! Be emboldened by some or all of these ideas.
New hairstyle
When you find a hairstyle you like, you should never, ever change or experiment, right? Well, not exactly. It’s nice to find a style that makes you feel confident and cool, but never finding what another haircut might be like is no fun! For women, especially, you can try a pixie cut, bob, undercut, long and wavy, or even shaved if you feel like it. There is no limit to what haircut you can have, and although it’s a little scary to try a new haircut, you should try as many as possible and never feel worried about what others will think. Test out new hair colors, too! Go from blonde to red or brunette to black, just see what’s possible with your hair.
Travel alone
When you take a solo trip, you can literally do whatever you want and never have to consult others. It can be so liberating to go to any country and make your own schedule on the fly. Meeting new people is always possible at hostels and meet up events for travelers in major cities, so even if you feel like some company, then it’s within your reach. If you get a taste for being a solo tourist, you might even become a successful travel influencer one day!
Piercing or tattoo
It’s understandable that you have a bit of trepidation about getting either a tattoo or piercing, as both will modify your body and be a bit painful! However, they can be so beautiful when done right and they allow you to achieve a more individual look. Luckily, piercings and tattoos are becoming far more tolerated in the workplace and don’t have a stigma attached anymore. Check out some awesome tattoo ideas if you want to express yourself.
Take up a new hobby
There’s naturally more to life than working, shopping for food, and then watching TV. Life can be so much fun when you dedicate yourself to an exciting hobby. It could be learning an instrument, picking up a new language, trying out martial arts, or even something easier like sewing! Whatever it is, the joy comes from getting better and better at something each time and it even allows you to meet new people from joining hobbyist groups.
Go to more music festivals and live shows
Finally, if there’s one tried and tested way to get more out of living, then it’s experiencing live music. Seeing the artist or band perform on stage is nothing like hearing the song on the radio or on Spotify, as the crowd’s energy and the visual performance is something to behold. Music festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza have an equal mix of mainstream and up-and-coming artists to get you excited about live music.
