Feeling Down? These Fresh Flowers Could Lift Your Mood

August 31, 2021

Everyone goes through a rough patch every now and then and feels a little down as a result. Our lives are busy and the last few years have been challenging for millions of people all over the world due to the pandemic.

While there are many things you can do to improve your mood and bring a bit more positivity into your life, few things can lift your mood quite like some fresh flowers. They look incredible, smell incredible and come in hundreds of different colors, sizes and varieties. This is why they are so popular as gifts and many homes you see will have flowers or plants inside.

While all flowers can often put a smile on your face and brighten your day, there are some that are well known for boosting moods and making people happy. This article is going to go over a few of them.

Chrysanthemums

Originally cultivated in China and first recorded thousands of years ago, Chrysanthemums have long been a popular flower. Not only do they look good and smell great, but they have been shown to help people feel better. Specifically, these flowers help people to worry and stress less, and can even be consumed as a tea. Consuming a tea containing chrysanthemums can relax your body, too.

Chrysanthemums are also incredibly versatile. They come in many different types and colors, so no matter your flower preferences, you’re sure to find one that you will love. The flowers themselves also signify joy and beauty and represent happiness.

Lavender

Another flowering plant that is well known for lifting moods is lavender. The scent of lavender, the look and even the taste can bring a smile to your face. Lavender is also incredibly well known for being able to relax people and calm them down. There are several ways to use it, from using the lavender essential oil, or even keeping the plant around your home or yard.

Lavender is also in a variety of lotions, soaps and bubble baths so you can experience it in a variety of ways. As soon as the scent hits your nose, it can instantly de-stress you and help ease your worries. It is used to help people sleep too. And by getting better sleep, you are bound to be a happier and healthier person.

Yellow Marigold

While all colors can bring about happiness, yellow is a particularly happy color. It is bright, cheerful and is a very uplifting and overwhelmingly positive color. And while there are plenty of yellow flowers, few can lift your mood quite like a yellow marigold. Yellow marigolds are an incredibly full flower, and are bright enough to lift your mood in an instant.

These are a great option for bedrooms, offices and anywhere else that you want to make a more positive and happy place. The color yellow, and thus these flowers, can help energize you and make you more productive, as well. They also come in other shades of red and orange, if those colors are something you prefer.

Daisy

Few flowers out there are as cheerful and happy as daisies. Their big and bright petals, their shape and the contrast of their petals to their disc flowers are all things people love about them. These flowers start to bloom in late spring and continue into the fall, so they are often associated with the warm and happy times of the summer.

If you need to add some happiness to your life, or add a little bit of warmth to a room in your home, daisies are a fantastic choice. Like the chrysanthemums we mentioned earlier, daisies come in a variety of different colors, so you can always find one that fits your preferences and the decor of any home or office.

These can also be grown in your garden, but be sure to keep them in the sun as they need a lot of light to grow well and survive.

In conclusion, if you aren’t feeling your best, these fresh flowers are sure to be able to lift your mood and help you feel incredible. Whether you want to relax and calm down, or simply be uplifted, they can help.
