Growing up, we go through several phases in life. In the adolescence we have all the energy in the world to run around all day playing around with our friends and siblings. As we progress onto teenage years we tend to discover the difficulties in life and learn to take charge. As we progress onto our adulthood and actually take charge of our lives we begin to deal with issues that come with independence.
Our thirties, however, is the age by which we must have most of our lives sorted. But it is no big deal if you don’t. Here is a general list that will help you navigate this tricky age:
Taken a Solo Trip
There is no experience like that of travelling. Then when it comes to travelling alone, there is absolutely no comparison. Before you are thirty, you must have at least picked an amazing place to travel to and gone there on your own. This gives you a complete sense of independence and the responsibility and pleasure that comes with it.
Face A Sporting Fear
While you are out travelling and living the independent life, why don’t you try your hand at an adventure sport. But why settle for any adventure sport while you have that independence and freedom and not a sport that you have always been afraid of trying. By 30, you should at least face your fear of the sport and have achieved a substantial win over your fear.
Have A Life Insurance Policy
The thirties are the time when you are actually starting to get a stable career and earn enough to meet your own and your family’s expenses. By thirty you should have understood the act of comparing life insurance policies at iSelect and selected a suitable policy for yourself. Not only will this be beneficial for your family in case of any unfortunate occurrences or accidents but also serve as a great saving instrument for your future.
Learn A Foreign Language
But travelling around the world and enjoying adventure sports is not all that you must achieve before your thirties. There is much and more of the learning that you must have achieved. For instance, the most substantial learning that you could have achieved is to learn a foreign language.
Learning a foreign language not only helps you overcome the language barrier, but is also a great addition to your cv. Even researches show that knowing more than one languages reflects positively on your image and helps you make a mark in your career.
Learn to Take Responsibility and Apologize
When you make a mistake, own up to it and accept the consequences. However, this is easier said than done and learning it takes courage and the ability to hold up against the consequences. However, if you do keep at it, you will not only become a better person for it but also be a very respectable human in eyes of those around you.
