Fitness expert Charles D’Angelo knows a great deal about this and he has been highly vocal of late looking to give us all the best ways to lose weight with your phone’s help.
Dieting Goals
Dieting can be a tricky thing to do, if you are trying to lose weight you need to be eating less calories than you are burning on a daily bases. In the past this had led to a lot of note taking and calorie preparation, but not anymore. Smartphones have multiple apps that can help do this for you. Within these apps you put your height, your weight and what your target weight is. When the app has this information, it will calculate a daily calorie intake based on your personal requirements. Once this has been calculated, you have a log where you can enter what you have eaten for the day. You can search for the food or even scan a barcode and all of the information will be taken away from your daily intakes. This makes losing weight so much easier as you no longer have to do all of the maths yourself.
Exercise
You guessed it, more apps. It has never been easier to find a workout routine that is best for you. Your phones app provider has thousands of options at your fingertips. A lot of them run free trials so you can try before you subscribe to a monthly plan, some are even completely free. Completing workouts will never be easier, as full demonstrations are also included. As you are completing workouts from your phone, you can also link up the calories you have burned with your calorie counting app and log everything you do.
Connecting
Most of the apps mentioned also have live chatting communities. This is a great way to keep yourself motivated, share recipes or progress photos with other people. There is a high chance you will meet a group of people in the same position as you and you can all motivate each other. You can also use social media groups in the same way and flaunt your new lifestyle. Connecting with others via your phone will take away the intimidation factor that comes with going to the gym. Losing weight doesn’t have to be boring, why not make friends along the way.
