Types of Food — Protein, Carbohydrates, Fats

Anything which the organisms consume to continue their lives and provide nutritional support is called food. Food is the essential requirements of life; none can survive without food. Once the fundamental requirement of nutrition is fulfilled, the second important thing related to food is the role of it to keep the organism (especially human beings) healthy. Humans can sustain good health by using a balanced diet. Food should contain different types and constituents, like fats, proteins, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins. Any food missing may cause health issues, so humans should be careful about their diet. They should consult their nutrition expert to arrange food plans in order to improve and maintain good health.

King salmon is a protein filled diet that increases the rate of protein to become a healthy person. The later one is often used for instant energy and nutrition requirements and is called drinks. Now a day many types of energy drinks are available in markets, liked by the youth, but their impacts on human health are alarming. Such drinks are not considered to be healthy as they are manufactured from artificial materials and flavors. Although they provide instant energy, in the long run, they affect the health badly. So, their usage should be minimized, and they should be replaced by the juices or nectars of natural fruits.

The primary source of food for humans is farming, gardening and livestock. Agriculture and gardening provide us with vegetables and fruits, while livestock fulfils our meat requirements. Some people in the world do not consume the food items related to animals or livestock, such as meat, eggs and even milk products. They are called “vegetarians,” and this action is called “veganism.” It belongs to particular beliefs, although scientifically it is not a healthy practice. In the present time, the food obtained from farming and gardening is processed in industries to enhance its characteristics; such food is called “processed food.” This food usually contains natural ingredient as well as food additives, such as preservatives, emulsifiers, flavor enhancer and antioxidants etc. Bread is an example of processed food. Although they contain natural ingredients, some experts consider artificial ingredients and processing of food as less healthy in comparison to purely natural and unprocessed food.

People usually consume unprocessed food, which is prepared at home in the kitchen. The person who prepares it is called a cook. Cook uses the utensils in the kitchen to cook the food, such as pressure cooker, frying pan and different pots etc. If not much trained, the cook can get help from a cookbook, frequently available in markets. Another way to get help in cooking is by watching online video tutorials on cooking. Food is prepared and served as trade in places, known as restaurants. So, if someone cannot cook at home, he or she can enjoy the food at some restaurant. People like the food given at some restaurants more as compared to other restaurants due to the taste, presentation and variety of food.

People who do not grow their own food need to buy it from bazar which was grown and sold by someone else. Uncooked food is usually bought and taken to a home for cooking and eating. Otherwise, cooked food can be bought from restaurants, which can be expansive. Some people prefer to grow their food to assure its quality. Food is vital for all humans, so it must not be wasted and should be provided to the hungry ones.
