Early Signs of Endometriosis

December 6, 2021

Endometriosis is a condition that occurs in females where there is a development of tissues outside a female’s uterus, which is similar to endometrial tissues. Although the tissues are non-cancerous, it can result in adhesions and severe scarring. It can have a significant impact on a woman’s pregnancy.

In some cases, a woman cannot get pregnant due to endometriosis. Several other factors are caused by endometriosis. Additionally, endometriosis can be hard to diagnose because most symptoms of an endometriosis condition are similar to other medical conditions like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, PCOS, and pelvic diseases.

Hence, if you struggle with unusual bleeding, you are advised to contact a doctor at Jackson Heights endometriosis who can examine and provide adequate medical treatment.

Here are some of the vital signs of endometriosis:

  • Painful sex

Sex should give pleasure, not pain. So, if you are experiencing severe pain when you are having sexual intercourse with your significant other, there are possibilities of specific tissues outside your uterus which can cause endometriosis. Hence, you should immediately consult a doctor.

  • Bowel-related issues

If you feel discomfort while peeing or pooping, you could have endometriosis since the affected areas may hurt when you perform any actions, including bowel movements. It could also result in constipation, diarrhea, nausea, and even fatigue sometimes.

  • Lower back pain

Since the placement of ovaries and the uterus is near your back, you might start to feel pain in the lower back pain which can also affect the pelvic area, causing pain. The pain can be intense. Although normal back pain fades away after a few days, if you still feel the pain for weeks and eventually turn into chronic pain over time, it could be because of endometriosis.

  • Heavy flow during periods

Although women bleed when they are in their periods, a woman with endometriosis experiences excessive menstrual bleeding with heavy flow. Additionally, the flow continues every period and can cause sharp pain in a woman’s pelvic area.

  • Blood in urine and stools

Since a woman with endometriosis can find it hard with bowel functions, the stools may be covered in blood even if she does it successfully. Also, the urine can sometimes have blood in it.

Therefore, endometriosis can cause severe issues in a woman where the pain can be severe. Even regular menstrual cramps can be intense. Hence, it is medical advice to consult a doctor immediately if you see any of the above-listed signs of endometriosis.
