3 Ways to Use CBD You’ve Never Thought of Before

Cannabidiol (CBD) has been growing in popularity over the past decade as research has uncovered new potential benefits to our health and well being. Despite its popularity, most people do not know a lot about what CBD is, how it works, and all the different ways you can use it.

The different methods for using CBD have different advantages and disadvantages, and whether you use them or not depends on what you want to get out of it. However, there are also ways to use CBD that can help you with more specific needs. Here are three examples you should think about trying.

#1) Making Cold Brew CBD Coffee

While edibles are the more common method of mixing CBD with food, drinkables are another viable option. It’s a bit more difficult to infuse CBD into a drink than it is to infuse it into food, since the best infusion method is through using some kind of fat or oil. Most drinks won’t have any fat, and the natural oil form of CBD means it separates from any liquid rather than mixing.

That’s where cold brew coffee comes in. This method works by steeping the CBD in with the ground coffee beans, as if it were tea. When you make your cold brew coffee, you grind up the beans until it’s coarse. Then, mix in your hemp flower or water soluble CBD isolate powder with the ground coffee. Add it into a pitcher of water and lightly mix it together. Leave the pitcher in the fridge overnight, for up to 12 hours. The coffee will slowly mix and infuse with the water until you are left with your cold brew coffee. You can pour it through a cheesecloth to remove any small bits of debris left over.

The benefit of using this method is that it helps combat some of the edge you get from drinking caffeine. It can also help settle your stomach, especially if drinking coffee leaves you feeling a bit ill or bloated.

#2) Apply It To Your Skin

CBD comes loaded with a few very important ingredients and properties for skincare, and for treating skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, and more. One of the strongest benefits of CBD is that it is a powerful anti-inflammatory, and inflammation is a major symptom, side effect, or cause of several skin conditions. Being able to reduce inflammation helps manage such conditions.

If you have an acne breakout, you can apply CBD to your skin in one of two ways. First, rub CBD oil directly on the area. It cuts down on inflammation, and also has some antiseptic properties to kill bacteria. It is also loaded with antioxidants and fatty acids, both which help improve your skin’s overall health. That’s why you can also get skin products with other ingredients to treat skin conditions or improve skin health that use CBD as an active ingredient.

#3) Use It In Your Hair

The fact that CBD is a powerful and natural source of antioxidants and omega fatty acids also makes it a useful ingredient for your hair. There has not been any research to show how CBD can help human hair, but there are some logical assumptions made due to how valuable antioxidants and fatty acids are in hair products.

Hemp is also very easy to grow in mass quantities, and is eco-friendly as far as sustainability and reducing carbon emissions are concerned. That’s why you are now seeing more hair products using CBD as a main ingredient. The antioxidants and fatty acids help moisturize your hair and keep it looking younger and brighter.

There are numerous other ways to use CBD, all which may help you achieve a specific purpose. It can help with localized pain, to treat specific symptoms or health conditions, and improve your overall wellbeing in certain ways.
