In Ukraine, Pavuchky, or spider, ornaments are placed on the tree for luck. In Finland, straw “himmeli” ornaments were placed on the tree and above the dining table because they were thought to bring good luck.
A famous German tradition is hiding a pickle in the tree. Whoever finds it is believed to have good luck for the following year.

Christmas movies, anyone? There’s nothing like cozying up on the couch with your favorite Christmas blanket, a mug full of hot chocolate, and a huge bowl of popcorn to spend an evening watching Christmas movies.
5. Gift Giving
Whether it’s giving or receiving, people really love presents. There’s something magical about picking out the perfect present for your loved ones and wrapping it nicely with a bow.
