Spiritual Connections: 6 Tips to Balance Energy and Rejuvenate Your Spiritual Health

March 3, 2019

A good life is a steady balance between mental, physical, and spiritual health.

Unfortunately, we aren’t perfect and things can become out of balance. We all have seasons of loss and stunted growth. These are periods of life not to be ashamed of but to learn from. Spiritual health can be extremely difficult, especially in today’s environment.

Between the rise of social media, stress, and mental illness, it’s easy to become separated from your spiritual self. Luckily, there are ways to boost your spiritual help. You’re in the right place if you need help with that.

Below are 6 ways to balance energy and rejuvenate your soul. Make sure to check out below to start mending your spirit.

1. Dance Like No One’s Watching

As silly as it may seem at first, putting all responsibility and worry aside to dance it out is one of the best ways to boost your spiritual energy levels. Dancing may be as easy as putting a song on in the kitchen and busting a move. For others, it has to be an intentional practice.

Dancing is great because there’s no right or wrong unless you are participating in choreographed dance. It not only forces you to move your body, but it also moves around energy.

If you are in a funk of knowing your body needs to let loose, but you aren’t exactly sure what to let loose, start dancing. Fully trust your body to move how it needs to move. Let your more primal instincts kick in, and have lots of fun.

To help with your intentions of dancing, set aside time for yourself, and find the perfect dance playlist. Want to take it to the next level? Find a dancing partner and flow freely together.

2. Rearrange Your Environment

A great way to recharge your spiritual energy is to dive deeper into feng shui. Feng shui is often thought of as the art of placement. This could mean placement within a garden or office, but it is often practiced in the home.

It can be hard to get the hang of it at first, but you can use tools like a feng shui compass. All you really need is an open attitude and the willingness for initiating change in your life. Plus, who doesn’t love a living room makeover?

The purpose of feng shui is to bring good fortune into your life. Nothing helps the spiritual self more than loads of good fortune. When practicing feng shui, keep in mind the balance of yin and yang and the incorporation of the 5 elements.

3. Do a Good Work

There’s nothing better than helping someone else while boosting your own spiritual energy levels. Doing good can equal feeling good. Helping someone else doesn’t have to mean spending money either so stay with us here.

If there’s negative energy in your life, do something to counteract it. For example, if you are feeling selfish, do something that denies the self and benefits someone else. When doing this, make sure not to expect recognition.

Are you holding onto anger or grudges in your life? Do good for someone else by forgiving them for the pain they’ve caused. Your spiritual self will be thanking you.

Even if you aren’t sure what you can do, don’t be afraid to ask. Call a friend today, and tell them you’ve been thinking about them. Ask them what’s one thing you can do for them that will make their week better.

This can include cooking them dinner, taking their dog for a walk while they’re at work, or helping them with studying. Doing good for someone else doesn’t have to be a grand act to gain a noticeable boost in energy.

If all else fails, practice recycling. Helping the Earth is doing good work too!

4. Practice Gratitude

In the midst of complications, we are quick to focus on the negative. Learn how to ground your energy by practicing gratitude. Many times, it’s harder than it sounds.

Being thankful for things around you causes you to shift to a more positive mental space. It forces you to focus in on things you wouldn’t normally notice and can challenge you to strengthen your spirituality.

Every morning you wake up or every night before turning off the lights, write 5 things in a journal you are thankful for. It might be easy for the first few days. You know you’re thankful for your house, car, and food.

After several days, you may feel you are running out of things to be grateful for. However, if you really think, you have endless things to be thankful for.

You can be thankful for your patient spirit, strong body, or self-discipline in your weight loss journey.

5. Organize Your Belongings

Your energy can become clogged when your daily life becomes clogged with clutter and unneeded items. Increase your spiritual energy level by cleaning up your surroundings.

This isn’t a process to happen overnight, but start practicing organizational tips now for a better tomorrow.

Start by throwing away things you don’t need anymore. These things can include clothing you haven’t worn in months or papers you no longer need. Once trash is cleared, start categorizing the items around you.

Purchase some organization bins and baskets, and go crazy!

6. Disconnect

It’s easy to get wrapped up in our jobs, family affairs, and technology. One of the best things you can do to balance energy is disconnect for a little bit.

Take an hour in the day to turn off your phone to read or meditate. Clear your emails and then take a bath. Put the kids to bed and then do yoga.

It takes intentional actions to disconnect from the world, but the habit will get easier every day.

Balance Energy and Refresh the Soul

In this day and age, it’s difficult to balance energy and find spiritual relief. However, glance again at the above 6 tips to help you out.

You don’t have to spend hours a day meditating on a mountain to charge up your soul. Sometimes all it takes is 30 minutes of intentionally turning off your phone or helping out a friend.
