Covid Monthly Rentals NYC – How New York Firms Adapted

January 22, 2021

It should come as absolutely no surprise to you the number of businesses which have been negatively affected by the pandemic, and here in New York the world of business has come crumbling down in so many areas. With this comes consequential damage and that is why when it comes to Covid monthly rentals NYC has really bore the brunt of this reduction in business travel. Those businesses who have done the best to survive in the last 12 months have been those who did not just lick their wounds but those who decided that they were going to take action in order to come back even stronger. There are many companies throughout New York who have taken tough steps to survive and here is how this industry got creative.

Bite The Bullet and Plan

One of the most impressive approaches which I have seen from many in the industry are those who have decided to accept their fate and to plan for a post-pandemic world. These owners have taken the time to carry out some much needed renovation and decoration work on their properties so that when the world does eventually get back to normal, they have properties which are glistening and which are ready to go.

Charity

The way in which the world has committed itself towards healthcare workers is seriously impressive and there have been some fantastic acts of kindness which we have seen. I talk about this because there have been many in the private rental market who, shortly after the pandemic first hit, decided that they would offer up heavily discounted and free rooms to those heroic healthcare workers. So many workers were without homes given that they had to stay away from those who were vulnerable, and the result was that they were sleeping wherever they could. These men and women who gave up their rooms enabled those nurses and doctors to have a bed and a homely environment where they could recharge after a long day, truly incredible.

Changing Regulations

The rental industry has had to go above and beyond in order to make sure that their residences were in perfect shape for those who were coming to stay. This meant not only the employment of sanitization teams who would come in daily to give the place the once over, it also meant training staff up on the new regulations around social distancing, mask wearing and cleaning. The reason why this has been so impressive is that a great deal of this was done remotely, as many managers and business owners were either self isolating or they were not close to the property. Every business has had to change and those in the hospitality industry have been forced to do so more than most.

This may just be one of the industries which was affected by the pandemic, of the many, but they have done very well and shown great creativity to survive.
