Grab a marker, write or draw whatever you want and then bake them in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Voila, the writing is now permanent.

2. Bird Feeder Wreath

One of the best ways to spruce up your backyard is to invite beautiful birds in and give them a treat while they’re visiting. Some bird-feed, ribbon and melted suet will let you make a fabulous wreath that provides for the neighborhood wildlife.

3. Painted Jars

A great way to decorate for an outdoor party is to grab some paint, jars, and yarn. Simply wrap the jars with yarn, paint them and then peel the yarn away once the paint has dried. This makes a great design for candles to give some light to your evening party.

4. Felt Toys

This project will not only make some great gifts but also teach you a great skill. Some needle and wool are all you need to start experimenting and make some great old-school felt toys and cuddly animals.

5. Floor Duster Pads

This one is going to save you some money. You may be going through pads for your floor duster faster than you like. Work on your crocheting skills and make some reusable pads for your duster. 

6. Laundry Detergent

Did you know with some simple ingredients like grated soap, borax, and baking soda, you can make your own detergent. Add whatever scents you love and not only will you save some money but you’ll also help the environment by avoiding harsh chemicals.

7. Homemade Tools

If you teach a man to fish you feed him for life. If you make your own tools you’ll give yourself the ability to make future projects with tools that are customized exactly to your liking and needs.

Are you looking for fun projects to do with your kids? Suncatchers are really fun things to make and make great gifts for kids to give their family and friends. With some beads and glue, you can make some illuminating outdoor decor. You can even make your own beads.

11. Wine Garden

It’s okay if you have a lot of empty wine bottles laying around. If you’ve been saving them for a future project, it’s time to celebrate because here it is. Follow some careful instructions to carve an opening into the side of a wine bottle, fill it with gravel or sand and make amazing miniature gardens.

12. Suitcase Table

This one is going to involve some advanced skill but it will produce a one-of-a-kind table or nightstand that you can either use for your home or even sell for a pretty penny. You can find old suitcases at thrift stores for cheap and use them to make colorful and unique tables.

13. Bathroom Storage

Speaking of thrift stores and recycling and respecting old furniture, start looking for pretty drawers. You may come across dressers or other furniture in your journeys that is just too far gone to restore but you can use items from them like drawers to make some great cubbies for items like bathroom products.

14. Utensil Wall Rack

For a farmhouse feel, go grab an old rake. You heard that right, that old garden rake that’s just hanging out in your shed can be put to good use. Remove the handle, clean up the rake and maybe even paint it and then hang it on the wall. You now have perfect hooks for kitchen utensils.

15. Candle Holders

One of the best things about fall is the wonderful savory scent of cinnamon and clove. If you love this calming aroma and candles, you can put those two together.

Grab some cinnamon sticks and yarn. Wrap them around a candle to make sure you’ve got the right size and tie it together. The warmth from the candle will spread the scent throughout your home.
