Two types of firmware, Use one for both?

There are two types of firmware: 2.6.3O for data decoder, and 2.6.3R for raw data.

Is there a way to have the ability to have decrypted data and the ability to have raw data for use with the serial cable?  Or is is one or the other?

Don't know if the O firmware does both or not, but I installed the R firmware on my Zeo, and the data files on the SD card are not encrypted.
