myTools: Reading a Sleep Graph

Undefined
User Question:
Can you explain how I should "read" the Sleep Graph that shows up in mySleep profile?
Short Answer :
The best way to "read" your Sleep Graph is to recognize that the Sleep Graph is linear - that is it starts from when you put the headband on and continues until you wake up in the morning and dock the headband. This allows you to see when you were in each sleep stage at a given point during the night.

The Sleep Graph is a linear progression of your sleep over the course of one night. Only Zeo allows you to see what stage of sleep you’re in and when at a given point during the night.

The color-coded segments each represent a different sleep stage: Wake is in red, Light Sleep is in gray, REM sleep is in light green, and Deep sleep is in dark green.

On the left side of the chart are the following stats:

    • Total Z - the total amount of sleep you got
    • Bed time - the time you went to bed at (i.e. started using Zeo)
    • Rise time - the time you woke up
    • Morning Feel - a numerical representation of how you felt when you woke up (the higher the number, the better you felt). This is generated when you fill out your Sleep Journal.
    • Day Feel - a numerical representation of how you felt during the day (the higher the number, the better you felt). This is also generated when you fill out your Sleep Journal.
    • Sleep Stealer - a numerical representation of things that negatively affected your sleep (the higher the number, the more negatively your sleep was affected). Also generated by your Sleep Journal.

Another helpful feature of the graph is that it includes a pie chart that breaks down your sleep into percentages and time increments. This is helpful because it lets you see how much total time you spent in each stage of sleep and how much each stage contributed to your total night of sleep.
