Iphone Calendar reminder stops Zeo during...

English

Is there a way to prevent pop ups on my iphone from stopping Zeo during the night.  I have had Zeo for two nights now, and love it.  However, I have noticed if I have an event or reminder pop up on my calendar, even though there is no alarm associated with the reminder, Zeo will stop running.  These are just birthday notices with no alarm or a reminder to do something later in the day.

Thanks,

Sleepygirl :)

Hi sleepygirl! The recommended method for using your Zeo Mobile is to close all other apps running in the background to prevent them from interfering with the Zeo Mobile app. To do this, go to the Home Screen, press and hold the Home button, until a bar appears at the bottom of the screen with all the apps currently running. Press and hold one of the icons, until it wiggles and a minus sign appears in the upper corner. Then press each minus sign to close each app.

If the app does close during the night, and you have been wearing the headband, you can re-open the app, go into Start Tracking and press the button on top of the headband to re-establish the connection between the phone and the headband and send your sleep data to the app.

Quitting apps does not prevent calendar reminders. The calendar does not need to be running in order for it to send reminders, some of which may have been set years in advance (e.g. birthdays). The only way to prevent a calendar reminder is to turn it off from within the calendar, and that hardly seems like a solution if you actually need to be reminded of something. It seems that Zeo needs to take priority over absolutely everything in order to work.

All notifications cause the Zeo app to close. I get around this by enabling airplane mode before I go to bed, which is incredibly annoying to have to do. I guess airplane mode wouldn't stop calendar notifications though.

Although I love the Zeo product, I think you guys have really been dragging your feet on this rather common issue. I don't have any other apps that get screwed up by notifications, and having to manually change a bunch of other settings just so your product works really isn't good enough.
