I've been listening to a few binaural beats, trying to find a different way to induce lucid dreams.
After reading a few studies from reputable sources, it seemed to be something worth trying. However, there are a million and one different dealers offering various styles of binaural beats. I suspect some are just noise combined with the sound of waterfalls and whalesong etc. To be honest, that kind of puts me off. So I have avoided those.

One of the papers mentions that the researchers had a company create some specifically for the study, so it seemed reasonable to include that producer among the sources that I try.
I've yet to try the producer mentioned above, but one of the ones that I've tried so far I did notice a sound that was there when listening with both headphones, but not with one. The "extra" beat seems to be felt at the lower back of your head and in your throat – a bit like when hearing base tones.
I'm recording the live data for all the attempts which is useful as I have had dreams, albeit short ones, while listening to the beats but as soon as they start then my conscious mind says "Hey, you're dreaming" and it all ends! I'm hoping that the frequency analysis will at least indicate a spike of some sort that will show that something is going on. Zeo hasn't detected any REM yet but I suppose that this is due to the short nature of the dream episodes.
I'm also trying to attempt these in the afternoons (so that only means a few days a month are available to me), so that I don't fall asleep.
I've had limited success, up to and including the tingly fizzy feeling that you get at the onset of sleep paralysis, but no more so far.
I'll post some graphs when I have more results.
Has anyone had any experience with binaural beats? Can anyone recommend any decent ones?

This is a very interesting idea.
I was thinking for years to create a biofeedback application with binaural beats and possibly light-sound stimulation. Finally with Zeo RDL this should be quite possible. I have plans to add this to my ZeoScope app that you are already using (BTW thanks for kind words about it, much appreciated)

Thanks for the link. I've downloaded it and it seems interesting.
I need a quiet weekend to explore the effects of it. There are some great headphones designed for sleeping which I've just got hold of, so hopefully I'll get something recorded on the raw data.
I also noticed that you have got a version of your viewer software that can play audio. Is that available as a compiled version?
Thanks

It is a prototype of "Lucid" sound alarm. It plays a sound alarm when a certain sequence of sleep stages is reached. (and many more smaller improvements)
