Attention Zeo Sleep Manager Users: Get Featured in Rick Smolan’s “The Human Face of Big Data” Project

"The Human Face of Big Data" is the latest project from Rick Smolan, the creator of the best-selling "Day in the Life” series of photojournalism books,  “24 Hours in Cyberspace,” “One Digital Day,” and “Blue Planet Run.”  Smolan’s projects result in best-selling illustrated books, TV specials, apps, exhibits and hundreds of millions of media impressions: www.AgainstAllOdds.com

As we write this, 100 of the world’s leading photojournalists are being dispatched around the globe to photograph all the ways in which Big Data is impacting our world.

We plan to prominently feature the Quantified Self movement in “The Human Face of Big Data” along with many of the leading devices that enable us to collect and track large amounts of data about ourselves so that we can make better choices about our health and behavior.

We want to feature the Zeo Sleep Manager and members of the Zeo community in our project – but we need your help and participation.

Here’s our request: Have your mate, partner or friend snap a photograph of you while you are asleep and wearing your Zeo device. Members of “The Human Face of Big Data” editorial team will review all submitted photographs and select our favorites for the book. Each Zeo user whose photograph is selected  will receive a copy of the book.

Please submit no more than five photos of yourself (photos should be approximately 1 meg in size each and jpg format) along with the following demographic information: (1) your first and last name, (2) your email address, (3) your phone number and (4) the city, state and country in which you live to bigdataphotography@gmail.com. Please include as the subject line of the email: Zeo User and your first and last name.

By submitting photographs to “The Human Face of Big Data” project, you are granting permission to publish these photographs in “The Human Face of Big Data” book and any related media.

The deadline to submit photos is May 4, 2012.

We thank you, and look forward to seeing your photos.
