I am currently on the beginning of day two of my Dymaxion Sleep program. My naps have been going very well, no over sleeping, and I am only slightly groggy after the naps for around 10 minutes afterwards. I am not too sleepy yet, still waiting for that to really kick in. On a scale of 1-10, I say I feel a 5, pretty regular day as if I was sleeping my normal 9 hours. I feel great. I'm a little puzzled that I'm not tired right now, its amazing that I can go from 9 hours to 2 hours and not be tired.. It feels weird! I'm hoping everyday is as easy as today!
Anyways, was hoping to get a few Tips and Tricks to adapting from experienced Polyphasers. And was also curious as when your worst days are?
A few tips that I have discovered to help a lot!
1) Sleep on chair, not bed. I wake up the second my alarm goes off as long as I am in a chair.
2) Do not eat food before napping, and eat easily digestable food. Things like fruit and veggies or fruit juice give an insane amount of energy that completely negates any negative effects from the adaption(so far).
3) Put cell phone alarm in sock while wearing the sock, this prevents you from turning it off without wakening yourself.
Those are three tips that have helped me considerably.
30minute nap at 6am/pm and 12am/pm.
I've read that the Dymaxion Sleep Schedule is difficult to adapt to, It would be of a lot of help if anybody who has previously adapted to Dymaxion can give some tips, but any polyphasic sleeper would be great!
If you want to follow me schedule, I update it here http://www.squidoo.com/SleepLessNow
