Health & Wellness Professionals

Zeo Inc. has introduced a new educational tool and motivational program for the consumer marketplace, the Zeo™ Personal Sleep Coach. Zeo helps people understand how they are sleeping and reveals habits and behaviors that may be helping or hindering their sleep, so they can learn new ways to get a better night’s rest. The Zeo Personal Sleep Coach is neither a medical device nor a medical program and is not intended for the diagnosis or treatment of sleep disorders. If consumers suspect that they have a sleep disorder, they will be advised to consult their physician.

Zeo is dedicated to developing products with the utmost of scientific integrity, and we have a prestigious Scientific Advisory Board to guide us.

Validations

Zeo’s SoftWave technology has been validated in two scientifically controlled studies by comparing it with full in-lab polysomnography, which experts consider to be the gold-standard for measuring sleep.

The aim of these IRB-approved studies was to demonstrate that the sleep information displayed by Zeo is correct and appropriate for use in the Zeo Personal Sleep Coach Program. Each record was scored by two experts (PSG1 and PSG2). In one study SoftWave was also compared with actigraphy, a technology that is sometimes used to conduct sleep research in the home. Results were published in abstract supplements of the journal Sleep1,3,4,5 and an abstract supplement of the Journal of Sleep Research2, and were presented at the 22nd and 23rd Annual Meetings of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies 2008 and 2009, and the 19th Congress of the European Sleep Research Society in 2008.

Zeo Home Use Test

Prior to launching Zeo we conducted a test of home users of the Zeo Personal Sleep Coach. While this study did not include a scientific control group, Zeo users reported significant improvements in the quality of their sleep and better functioning in the daytime.
